LM-4E Degausser
Meets NSA requirements for purging classified information on Longitudinal Magnetic Recorded (LMR) and Perpendicular Magnetic Recorded (PMR) hard disk media with a coercivity up to 5000 Oersteds magnetic tape media with coercivities up to 2800 Oersteds.
The larger conveyor bin of the LM-4E accomodates a wide variety of tape and hard disk drives measuring up to 1.6 inches (41 mm) high by 4.3 inches (109 mm) wide by 6.0 inches (150 mm) deep including floppy disks, zip disks, jazz disks and hard disk drives without removing the disk platters, plus tape media including DLT, LTO, 8mm and DDS.

Passage through uniform DC fields along horizontal and vertical directions in excess of 1 tesla (10,000 gauss) magnetic flux density. Typically beyond narrow-band dynamic range of high-density tape and disk drive read channels. Independent scientific testing confirms this degausser erases hard disk media with a coercivity of 5000 Oersteds and tape media with a coercivity of 2800 Oersteds.
