Degausser – HD-6600

The HD-6600 meets NSA requirements for purging classified information on hard disk media with coercivities up to 4200 Oersteds and magnetic tape media with coercivities up to 2600 Oersteds. It accepts hard drives 3.5 inch high by 4 inches wide by 10 inches deep including floppy disks, zip disks, jazz disks and hard disk drives without removing the disk platters, plus tape media including DLT, LTO, 8mm, DDS, and VHS.

Legacy Media Support
Organizations still carry large amounts of older disk drives (half-height) that need to be sanitized at their end of life. The HD-6600 accepts older disk drives and does not require you to disassemble the drive to degauss platters individually.

PERFORMANCE

Erasure – Scientific testing confirms this degausser erases hard disk media with a coercivity of 5000 Oersteds and tape media with a coercivity of 2600 Oersteds.
Media Size – Chamber accommodates hard disk drives to 3.5 in. (89 mm) high by 6 in. (152 mm) wide by 10 in. (254 mm) deep. Effective degaussing field is 6 in. (152 mm) square by 3.5 in. high (89 mm).
